Mountaineers – 217 and 372 all out in 93.3 overs (Definate Mawadzi 171, Timycen Maruma 49, Alistair Frost 33; Alex Russell 6/141, Wessly Madhevere 2/30, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe 1/2)

Eagles – 69 and 211 all out in 67 overs (Emmanuel Bawa 75, Wessly Madhevere 46, Tony Munyonga 26; Tendai Chatara 5/40, Wellington Masakadza 2/14, Vincent Masekesa 1/40)

Mountaineers won by 309 runs

Overnight, Eagles were on 191 for five wickets, with Tony Munyonga on 16 and Ryan Kamwemba on 14, after they had been set 521 runs to win.

Kamwemba was quickly bowled by Chatara without adding to his score, and the Mountaineers captain then had Munyonga, the one remaining specialist batter, caught by Timycen Maruma for 26.

The last two wickets fell quickly at the other end as Eagles were bowled out for 211, with the injured Travor Mutsamba unable to bat.

Chatara finished with five wickets for 40 runs, while Wellington Masakadza had two for 14.

Tuskers – 557-5 in 136 overs (Tanunurwa Makoni 185*, Nkosana Mpofu 120, Luke Jongwe 94*; Keith Jaure 2/78, Innocent Kaia 1/23, Sydney Murombo 1/84)

Southern Rocks –

Match drawn

At Takashinga Sports Club, the field was so unfit for play after much rain that the match had to be abandoned as a draw with no action possible on the last two days.

This was particularly unfortunate for Tuskers, who had built up the dominant score of 557 for five wickets against Southern Rocks, and on a personal level for Tanunurwa Makoni and Luke Jongwe, who with not-out scores of 185 and 94 respectively were denied the chance of reaching significant landmarks.
